Making a difference, one grocery bag at a time
Recently, The Dylan had the privilege of stepping beyond its doors to join a heartwarming initiative at De VerbroederIJ: Helen’s Free Food Market. Powered by generous donations from e.g. online supermarket Crisp and other suppliers and the wonderful work of passionate volunteers, the market provides fresh, free groceries to individuals and families facing challenging times.
This vibrant gathering isn’t just about food — it’s about connection, dignity, and coming together as a community.
The Dylan Team in action
Representing The Dylan with pride, Renee, Bob, and Anne spent the day helping prepare the market and personally handing out groceries to guests. The market offered an abundance of colourful fruits, vegetables, and pantry staples — but the most memorable ingredients were the smiles, conversations, and sense of togetherness.
Fresh meals from our OCCO kitchen, with love
Adding a special touch, The Dylan’s kitchen team prepared 50 fresh, wholesome meals for two weeks in a row to share with the community. It’s a small but meaningful gesture, reflecting one of the five core values that we hold dear: making people feel cared for.
We’re incredibly proud of our colleagues, both on-site and behind the scenes, who brought their passion and kindness to this initiative.
